Full-Time, 40 hr/week- typically day hours
Includes on-call and holiday rotation.

Assists with the general repair, maintenance and upkeep of the Eventide facilities and its grounds under the direction of the Facilities Manager. Will perform a wide range of duties related to maintenance and physical plant operations. Minor equipment repairs, painting and other maintenance tasks as requested.  Provide safe, quality customer service while transporting residents to appointments and activities. Perform occasional vehicle runs for supplies and materials.
High School Diploma or GED required. A valid Driver's License and clean driving record are required as well as a DOT Medical Card examination upon hire. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required. Requires knowledge in any or all of the following areas: HVAC (Heating Ventilation, Air Conditioning), electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, carpentry, painting, vehicle and small engine upkeep and repair, yard care, snow removal and basic maintenance. Must have the ability to work to work well with a variety of people to include staff, residents, families and visitors. Computer knowledge is required or must be willing to learn computer skills.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for all facets of building/grounds maintenance and the preservation of Eventide's assets.  Includes but not limited to all the daily activities necessary to maintain Eventide's assets such as grounds work, snow removal, equipment repairs and service calls, minor and major repairs to fixed and moveable physical plant equipment.  Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Monitors and maintains Direct Digital Control systems to ensure efficient operations of Eventide Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment.
  • Safely utilizes and operates specialized tools and equipment that includes and is not limited to boilers, electrical and plumbing.
  • Responsible for operations of vehicles such as skid steer, dump truck, bob cat and any other vehicle included in the Eventide fleet.
  • Utilizes the CMMS software work order system to check job assignments during each shift, making comments and labor adjustments in the system as needed. Must also be able to use Eventide time clock software to properly manage and relate CMMS assignment to specific Eventide job sites. Reports all complete and problem jobs to Facilities Manager.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on Eventide assets as assigned and document accordingly. Properly maintains necessary support mechanisms in order to meet city, state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Must be available for weekday call to work weekends and nights as scheduled. Also must be available for occasional morning, evening or weekend support during Eventide scheduled events and emergency situation.
  • This position in considered to be a "primary driver" which means that you may be required to drive for Eventide purposes at least once a week.
  • Performs grounds keeping duties to maintain a desired appearance to Eventide property. This includes but is not limited to: lawn maintenance, trimming/pruning bushes, edging sidewalks, removal of weeds, removal of snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots.
  • Completes the make-ready process of vacant apartments and skilled care rooms for new residents as assigned.
  • Maintains and tracks inventory controls for most cost effective operations.
  • Assist in the monitoring of all projects being performed by outside contractors and reports information as needed to the Facilities Manager.
  • Coordinates and completes special projects as assigned by Facilities Manager.
  • Responsible for alerting manager of any unusual occurrences or damage which may occur or already has occurred to Eventide property.
