Direct Support Professional
The purpose of this Direct Support Professional/Driver is to provide necessary supports to individuals at community crew sites and at the production center as time allows; as well as, safely transporting individuals between work sites or to and from their residence.
Ability to establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with Individuals served and other customer groups.
Services provided should be delivered in a way that focuses on the individual’s desires and needs as a guide for the selection, structure, and use of supports. Assist with daily care tasks, such as feeding or toileting.
Employee will be responsible for facilitation of instructional and behavioral treatments, individual supports, and problem solving at the job site or in the production center. Provide immediate supervision and quality control to individuals employed at the community crew work sites and the community program service hubs to assure the safe, efficient and effective completion of tasks performed by individuals. Flexibility to possible position adjustments is required. All appropriate forms and reports will be completed in a timely manner.
Employee will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of a motor vehicle.
A high school diploma or GED certification is required. Also required are a valid driver’s license, a documented safe driving record, and at least five years of successful, licensed driving experience. Employee must have to ability to pass a DHS background study and pre-employment drug screen.
