      Summary:


        Responsible for the front of the house operations at the Pioneer Grill. Responsible for all internal and external catering activities as it pertains to marketing, booking, planning, set up & directing functions. Ensure service is delivered timely and properly in the dining room by training staff, assigning server staff duties, assisting during mealtime, greeting and seating customers, and soliciting customer feedback.

      Reports to:

        Culinary Director

      Scope:

        Work closely with the Culinary Director and Sous Chef. Directly supervise the dining and catering staff. Has frequent contact with staff, customers, and residents. Occasionally leaves the facility to attend work related and educational meetings and seminars.

      Requirements:

        • Required to have the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents and visitors. Must complete and pass a state required background study.

        • High school degree is required, Associate degree in Culinary education preferred and a minimum of three years of experience in hospitality industry including one year in a supervisory role or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience. Must have the ability to work calmly and efficiently under varying workloads. Must have the ability to multi-task especially during times of high productivity. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills; can clearly get a message across and receive the desired outcome using tact and diplomacy. Must also be dependable and have good problem solving skills.
