Position Description:
• Provide collaborative leadership to facilitate, enhance and nurture the IT Division's communication strategies and partnerships with the campus community and beyond.
• Work closely with the IT Division's senior leadership team and managers to strategize, prioritize and coordinate short- and long-term communication plans, ensuring that the division's communication strategies align with university strategies and brand guidelines.
• Lead efforts to create an integrated communications plan and drive digital content strategy for the organization.
• Facilitate community engagement and foster a collaborative culture for effective internal and external communication across multiple platforms, including print and electronic publications, event planning, media relations, web and social media.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with a communication emphasis
• Computer proficiency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze, interpret and display data effectively as a communication tool
• Ability to function independently and balance competing priorities, with appropriate initiative, creativity and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and participate on teams
• Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence colleagues and constituents at all levels
• Ability to translate highly technical or complex processes using non-technical language

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree
• Knowledge of methods and techniques used in journalism (e.g., journalism style, editorial process, etc.), communications and marketing
• Experience with website management, editorial processes, maintenance and content management systems ( CMS )
• Experience communicating in a university environment
• Supervisory experience
