This position will also actively examine reports and other documentation in order to detect potential asset risks. These risks will be investigated and the conclusions will be reported to management. Performs the position-specific STAR service expectations, as outlined by the department.
Observe casino guests or associates as directed for irregular activities
Monitor activities to ensure adherence to all Federal and State laws, gaming regulations and casino policies and procedures.
Investigate improper or illegal activity as directed
Review video recordings of suspected illegal or improper behavior
Investigates shortages, suspected theft, or any other improper or illegal activity as assigned
Ensures that all assigned special watches or observation requests are conducted properly and performed in a timely manner
Coordinate all requested clandestine camera placements with the Surveillance Manager and Surveillance Technicians
Must review and interpret data and/or financial records to facilitate investigations
Creates and completed reports to comply with required policy and regulations.
Compiles required information
Ensures accurate and complete information is contained in reports
Notifies proper personnel of any unusual circumstances or deviations form policies and regulations
Submits a weekly report of activities during the week
Communicates with internal and external sources to ensure department and Shooting Star is represented in a professional manner
Maintains good rapport with co-workers, associates and external sources including local, state and federal representatives
Reviews reports and daily logs to facilitate communication
Ensure the strictest of confidentially is maintained at all times
Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school and six (6) months gaming surveillance, security or related experience or 2 years related experience.
Certificates, Licenses & Designations
Valid Minnesota driver’s license required with insurable driving record.
Must meet licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal-State Compact for gaming.
