The Virologist will play a lead role in Diagnostic Virology and play key roles in Research and Development projects.  The candidate will possess a minimum of a B.S. in Biology and 5 years of direct experience in classical virology, especially the isolation and propagation of veterinary viruses.  Candidates with M.S. or Ph.D. degrees and direct experience in mammalian cell culture and the isolation and propagation of veterinary viruses are also encouraged to apply.  The virologist will be responsible for all diagnostic virology testing and will be responsible for communicating results to internal and external stakeholders.  The virologist will additionally support and lead R&D, Process Development and Technology Transfer projects.  The virologist will interact with clients on technical matters and will be expected to formally present data as appropriate and scientific conferences.  The virologist will be expected to manage laboratory technicians working on Diagnostic and R&D projects.  The virologist will report to the Vice President for Diagnostics, Research and Development.  Excellent Benefits package; compensation is based on experience/qualifications. Position open until filled. EOE
