    • JOB SUMMARY
      • The Director-Materials Management directs the operation of the Purchasing, Sterile Processing, Copy Center, Storeroom and Central Supply Distribution. Demonstrates and models leadership behaviors and values; assumes primary overall responsibility for management of the organization's supply chain and participating organizations within Wilderness Health network; develops, implements and maintains state-of-the-art supply chain information systems; assists the executive team with capital budget development and procurement process in coordination with the Chief Financial Officer and Controller; assumes overall responsibility for enterprise-wide inventory management.
    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      • Education: Bachelor's Degree.
      • Experience: Eight (8) years professional experience in Materials Management, at least two (2) of which is experience leading all aspects of Materials Management functions.
      • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified Materials Resource Professional (CMRP) upon hire or obtains within twelve (12) months of hire.

    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
      • Extensive knowledge of DNV, Sterilization practices and procedures, principles of decontamination, Purchasing Practices and Principles, negotiation experience and skills, storeroom management, computer skills, active member of state and national materials management associations.
        • READING - Advanced: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints.
      • WRITING - Advanced: Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
      • SPEAKING - Advanced: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, top management, public groups, clients, customers, and the general public.
      • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Advanced: Ability to comprehend and apply advanced mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practical situations.
      • REASONING ABILITY - Advanced Skills: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
