Position Description:
Building on the land-grant institution foundation, NDSU study abroad is committed to promoting and facilitating student mobility and internationalization strategies to create practical, effective engagement between our local community and the world. Study abroad encourages transformative learning opportunities that foster academic development, personal growth, and intercultural competence that are indispensable elements of a quality education in today's global society.

The study abroad coordinator will provide study abroad advising and program management within their advising scope, coordinate returned student outreach, teach the re-entry course, and conduct study abroad marketing and recruitment. This is a public-facing position with a goal to enhance outreach efforts on campus.

Minimum Qualifications:
1) Master's degree
2) Evidence of organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a busy work space
3) Excellent written and oral communication skills
4) Strong international skills including evidence of sensitivity to and acceptance of people from diverse cultures
5) Office experience including detailed tasks and use of judgment in performing those tasks
6) Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products, such as Photoshop and InDesign
7) Experience studying, working or living abroad
8) Experience with obtaining a second language

Preferred Qualifications:
1) Experience in a study abroad office, or closely related work
2) Demonstrated confidence with event planning and public speaking
3) Experience in a teaching capacity
4) Evidence of skills related to marketing, public relations, and/or recruitment
5) Experience using Terra Dotta Study Abroad Software or other similar software
