Plans, develops, and provides diet interventions, medical nutrition therapy, nutrition care and preventive counseling to individuals and groups in all areas of primary and specialty patient care, acute care, skilled nursing, and/or out-patient settings. Working on nutrition care protocols for the assigned patient area and acts as leader for the health care team in the implementation of the nutrition therapies. Providing dietary services and monitoring nutritional care of patients of all ages including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Incorporating new trends and techniques as necessary to design patient care plan and update standards of care policy manuals and educational material. Educating on diet according to disease state, medical condition and health risk.


Sanford Dialysis Center in Bismarck, ND is seeking a full-time registered dietitian to provide medical nutrition therapy to kidney transplant and outpatient renal dialysis patients. This individual will assess patient knowledge of diet and kidney disease and offer patient-specific information about nutritional status, fluid status, and nutrition-related lab parameters. The registered dietitian will perform as a member of the multidisciplinary team, participate in quality improvement activities and patient care conferences. One year clinical dietetic experience required. 40 hours week. No weekends or holidays. Some travel required. Must be registered with Commission on Dietetic Registration and have ND licensure.


Must be registered with Commission on Dietetic Registration within 90 days of hire. Maintain North Dakota License. CPR certification required within six weeks of employment; re-certification as required. B.S. degree or higher degree in food and nutrition. Must be a graduate of a coordinate undergraduate program in dietetics, dietetic internship, dietetic traineeship or an advanced degree. Experience preferred. Maintain membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
