- JOB SUMMARY
- The Dietitian is responsible for the evaluation of individual patient's medical nutrition therapy needs, communicating nutritional information to medical staff/other health team members, assisting in maintaining operations of the diet office and providing education and counseling to patients and their families/caregivers, community groups and Hospital programs. Responsible for providing contract nutrition services to facilities outside the Hospital as assigned.

- Education: Four (4) year degree.
- Experience: N/A
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Current licensure with MN State Board of Dietetics and Nutrition.

- Current nutrition knowledge; verbal skills; ability to communicate with others in understandable manner; ability to work with a team; courteous, sensitive to other's needs; ability to communicate in writing; able to prioritize and organize days work as well as for long term goals and work within time frame; ability to work flexible hours. Ability to effectively and efficiently commute between work sites and if driving private vehicle must provide St. Luke's with a copy of driver's license and proof of insurance.

- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
