Distributes supplies, equipment and furniture to all areas within Sanford.


Responsible for the daily inventory and distribution of supplies to PAR cart locations. Maintains areas to assure sterility and cleanliness. Maintains inventory control procedures in order to maintain quality and accuracy. Assists with office work as needed. Familiarity with location of supplies in the department, and throughout designated units. Good understanding of sterile handling of supplies and inventory management. Responsible for unloading and verifying counts and condition of all supplies, equipment and furniture entering department. Must accurately identify products by description, product code and departments while entering receipts into software application to ensure correct delivery and payments are made to all accounts within Sanford. Responsible for knowledge of all inventory supplies. Must accurately dispense and receive stock items to ensure inventory counts remain accurate. Packs and prepares all outgoing packages for delivery with designated courier service. Must have knowledge of current contracted service for shipping to ensure shipments are being sent out within Sanford guidelines. Must have excellent inventory management handling skills to include: refrigerator storage and monitoring, outdated product checks, placing items in correct locations, obtaining signatures on deliveries as needed, processing credits, hazardous materials and damage control. Ensures all audit trails are maintained in accordance with policy. Must be able to communicate with all levels of the hospital and network, including Nursing and Medical staff.


Driver's license required as appropriate to position. Manager is accountable to ensure proper licensure is maintained. Will receive on-the-job forklift training. High school graduate or equivalent is required. Prior experience in a warehouse setting is preferred. Must be familiar with warehousing terminology and have a general knowledge of inventory systems and basic computer skills.
