Position Title: Head Teacher - must be available Monday - Friday
Location: Position will work at Roosevelt Elementary in Jamestown.
Term: Shifts between the hours of 2:30pm and 6:00pm
Department: 21st Century Community Learning Center
Reports to: Program Coordinator
Salary Range: $20.23 - $22.85 per hour

Supports the overall goals, objective and strategies of the South East Education Cooperative. Responsible to represent the SEEC in a positive way to staff and member schools.

This is a part-time position.
Will be responsible for working with students in grades K - 6 in groups of up to 20 students (1/20 ratio).
Will be responsible for teaching academic subjects as well as enrichment classes.
Will work with the site coordinator and other after school teachers in planning the monthly and daily activities calendar.
Will prepare daily lesson plans that are aligned to state standards/CCSS and curriculum alignment.
Will be responsible to secure from the school all materials and supplies needed for daily classes.
Complete weekly, daily and monthly paperwork accurately.
Monitor the behavior and attention of the students. Report discipline problems to the Program Coordinator.
Make certain the classroom is clean and straightened at the end of the day.
Provide supervision of the students when they arrive and leave at the end of the program.
Develop rapport with school staff and parents.
Conduct monthly communication meetings with afterschool teachers, support staff and building principal at your site.
Promote 21st Century programs to parents and community members.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Will be responsible for supervising any staff assigned and working in the program at your this site.
Current ND Educator's license.
Pass background check.
Must have at least six months experience working with school aged children.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds such as to lift files and paper.

The employee frequently will be required to meet multiple demands from several people. Position demands meeting deadlines and frequently working irregular or extended hours.
