Manages finance activities and operations. Directs organization-wide financial planning, budgeting, process support, and auditing policies and procedures. Oversees and evaluates the activities of the finance staff, and providing for their professional development. Provides effective financial forecasting, planning and control mechanisms for the organization. Produces thorough, accurate and timely budget, expense management, and variance reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage or oversee all aspects of the company's accounting function

  • Responsible for all general ledger activity ensuring the proper timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Maintain system of internal controls and accounting procedures

  • Lead the month-end close process adhering to tight deadlines for completion of all journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations as well as timely preparation of the company's financial statements.

  • Oversee franchisee billing including timely invoicing for royalties, products, training and other services, as well as adherence to the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for Profile and Sanford Health leadership

  • Assist the Executive Director of Finance in preparing rolling forecasts and the annual budget

  • Gather and organize information and statements for annual independent audit

  • Ensure compliance with appropriate accounting standards and regulatory requirements

  • Responsible for sales and use tax compliance including filing of returns, facilitation of audits, and maintaining systems to assess appropriate taxes

  • Serve as a liaison between Profile and Sanford Health corporate accounting and tax groups

  • Work closely and partner with the Finance Manager on a variety of projects as needed


    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration

    Ideal candidate has a minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience

    Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required

    Master's of Business Administration preferred, but not required

    At least 2-3 years of previous experience in a management or supervisory role

    Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office; advanced MS Excel proficiency

    Advanced proficiency and experience with accounting software

    Exceptional knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP)

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Able to work well with senior leadership, as well as to effectively lead and mentor members of the accounting team

    Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements and automate manual processes
