Prepares specimens and performs basic clinical laboratory testing; supervises test procedures and test performance. Adheres to health care safety standards and quality requirements throughout all procedures. Performs basic clinical laboratory testing procedures, including manual and automated routine blood tests, in accordance with detailed instructions. Utilizes relevant techniques to prepare clinical specimens for laboratory examinations, following institutional protocols and principles. Operates various equipment for medical laboratory tests. Monitors, calibrates and maintains instruments according to relevant standards. Supervises clinical laboratory test procedures performed by junior technicians; evaluates and assesses laboratory test performance and result accuracy and validity.


This position is full time position of 35 hours a week, 10-hour shifts, 7-on/7-off position that will rotate with another Lead Tech. It requires working from Thursday-Wednesday every-other week working between the hours of 2:30 pm and 1:00 am and includes working every-other weekend and whichever holidays fall into the "7-on".


Must be registered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or registry of equal status. Registry eligible technologists must pursue registry exam at the earliest day following employment. Must be registered within one-year of date of hire into position. Graduate of an approved School of Laboratory Science - MLT. A least two years Clinical Laboratory experience required.
