    • JOB SUMMARY
      • The Buyer-Materials Management, procures supplies and equipment; maintains inventory levels at par and issues inventoried supplies to departments; maintains Materials Management computer databases; performs supply chain analytics; greets and directs salespeople.
    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      • Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
      • Experience: At least one (1) year experience (or equivalent) in a buyer, purchasing, Materials Management, inventory management or related field; current knowledge of computer and software systems.
      • Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A
    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
      • Education: Bachelor's Degree in business related field preferred.
      • Experience: One (1) year experience with ESI/McKesson, HBOC, NOVA, MediTech materials management software.
      • Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A
    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
      • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; to exercise good judgment, make independent decisions within Hospital guidelines and accept personnel responsibilities; to establish and maintain good working relationships with medical staff, Hospital staff and vendors; to type.
      • READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
      • WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
      • SPEAKING - Basic: Ability to speak simple sentences.
      • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
      • REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
