This Patient Care Technician position works 36 hours per week including three 12 hour shifts per week at the Women's Prison in the Health Services Department which provides health care services to approximately 350 female inmates on a 24/7 basis. This position assists the licensed nursing staff with routine nursing duties such as passing medications, seeing inmates in a clinic setting, completing nursing documentation and maintaining health records.
This position is exempt from the Civil Service Act.
Licenses and Certifications:
This is not a licensed or certified position, but certified nursing aides are encouraged to apply.
NCRC: If you possess a National Career Readiness Certificate, please submit the certificate with your application. Successful applicant(s) will be required to undergo a background investigation. An arrest/conviction record will not necessarily bar employment. Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of a drug screening.
