Job Description: The Food Service Supervisor is responsible to supervise and direct staff in quantity food production and service for patients and customers. Performs food safety and quality monitoring, promotes participative management and enforces departmental policies and procedures. Communicates with other departments regarding food service needs and issues. Assumes responsibilities of other Nutrition Services supervisory staff in a relief capacity. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.

Education Qualifications:
  • Completion of one year vocational training in Food Service Management, Dietary Manager course work, Dietetic Technician Associate Degree and over one year of related food service experience
  • OR

  • Two years full-time food service experience with demonstrated leadership ability, including project management and process improvement

    OR
  • Over one year of health care supervisory experience
