JOB SUMMARY

Provide work direction to ensure that daily responsibilities of staff technologists are properly delegated. Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures through the operation of specialized equipment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will lead both CT and MRI staff at the Vandemark radiology department. Would like leadership experience along with 2 years of experience in CT or MRI. Need to be board certified in either CT or MRI with the recommendation of board certification in the other modality in 2 years. Will attend monthly leadership meetings and help with yearly employee performance reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have completed an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. One year experience as a staff radiologic technologist or in a special imaging modality preferred. Must have a thorough understanding of diagnostic radiographic principles, including image processing and quality control; must have a knowledge of cross sectional anatomy; understanding of computer language. Must be registered by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists). Must become MRI certified within 24 months of hire date.
