Licensure/CertificationQualifications: Family Medicine Residency Faculty / Teaching Position (0.6 FTE)

PRACTICE SPECIFICS
- Laid-back educational culture with high expectation to prepare full-spectrum family medicine physicians - ready for rural practice
- Strong, cohesive team of 7 physicians, 27 residents, 2 pharmacists, 1 pharmacy resident, 1 LICSW, 3 RN's and approx. 25 additional staff
- Full-time position is defined as 4 days per week plus call requirements
- Precepting and supervising medical residents in the clinic and local hospital sites
- Opportunity to train residents and maintain clinic and hospital skills
- Evaluating residents and assist in developing educational plans
- Mentor residents
- Develop and evaluate new curricula and update current curricula as appropriate
- Opportunity to obtain Suboxone waiver & participate in Suboxone education
- Collaborative relationship with the University of Minnesota Medical School
- Opportunities for educational research
- Opportunities for up to 1 day per week direct patient care
- Administrative duties for residency program as assigned
- Participate in faculty development activities
- Call schedule goal of 1 in 6 weeknight call (Mon-Thurs) and 1 in 8 weekend call (Fri-Sun)
- Very competitive salary and benefit package
- Can potentially be combined with another position to achieve 1.0 FTE
REQUIREMENTS
- BC Family Practice
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Minnesota
- Experience in full-spectrum family medicine
- Evidence of highly effective communication skills, written and spoken
- OB Required

- 150 miles north of the north of Minneapolis/St. Paul
- Duluth metro population: 125,000
- Regional service area: 460,000 and comprised of 20 clinics and 7 Hospitals
