JOB SUMMARY

Provide emergency medical services (EMS) education through Sanford to internal and external customers. Responsible for providing technical and/or clinical knowledge and expertise in EMS-based scenarios in a simulated environment. Serve as a simulator operator or clinical expert running pre-programmed scenarios with faculty instructors, assuring all equipment is set up for course programs. Facilitate simulation learning and participate in debriefing as well as other learning methodologies. Require strong interpersonal communication skills, will be providing training for individuals and teams utilizing adult learning principles. Team-oriented, patient focused, and self-directed. Able to troubleshoot potential issues with the simulation equipment and vehicles. Possess effective collaborative skills. Strong organization ability and the ability to prioritize. Knowledgeable of current clinical practice and be actively engaged in incorporating current research and evidence-based practice into learning activities.Additional responsibilities will include coordinating program, course, and class schedules, participating in simulation training for educational programs, serving as a mentor and educator for faculty and staff, assuring all equipment is in working order, participating in product-specific vendor training, reporting any concerns with equipment or vehicle in a timely manner, and maintaining all requirements, licensure and certification.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/licensure as appropriate and/or required by course content. The service manager is accountable to ensure that proper licensure is maintained. Educational background as appropriate to class offering. Must have experience in adult learning and learning styles, or as appropriate to developmental stage of participant. Must have experience in teaching and facilitation of groups. Must have a working knowledge of health and disease process related to content of material.
