Urban Mental Health CTSS Practitioner

The White Earth Reservation Tribal Council is currently seeking a qualified applicant who
will be responsible for providing Children’s Therapeutic Services and supports (CTSS),
which consists of activities designed to promote skill development of both the child and the
family of American Indians who reside on or near the White Earth Reservation.
• Provides services to emotional disturbed (ED) and/or severely emotional disturbed
(SED) children/adolescents and their families, including social skills training, leisure
and recreational activities, parent education, and school consultation.
• Maintains all forms of documentation and reports to ensure records meet provider and
third-party billing requirements.
• Participates in individual and group supervision with MH Professional to ensure
effectiveness of services and gain insight for treatment.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of the demographics, culture, customs and geography of the White Earth
Reservation.
• Knowledge of tribal and county health and social services programs.
• Knowledge of federal laws including HIPPA, government regulations, federal privacy
act and agency rules.
• Knowledge of relevant safety measures to promote effective operations for the
protection of people, data, and property.
• Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability,
personality, and interests; learning and motivation; and the assessment and treatment of
behavioral and affective disorders.
• Skill in personal computer and related software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
Outlook), and internet.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
• Proof of Completion of 2000 hours of supervised experience must be submitted
with application.
• Preferred Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
• Valid Driver’s License and insurance for travel between sites and other related
businesses.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening at hire and throughout the year.
