Job Information

The Business Development Manager will obtain, analyze and leverage research and data to create insight, identify new opportunity, develop techniques, tools and initiatives used by the organization to achieve functional objectives and strategies. The candidate must become a business partner to each function of the organization, and possess the ability to create and distribute a value proposition developed from various areas of business intelligence and translate those insights into business actions.

Role & Responsibility

Customer Satisfaction
  • Manage the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of the organizational customer satisfaction system.
  • Identify, prioritize and validate unmet customer needs of Bobcat products and dealer channel services.
  • Align unmet customer needs to functional responsibility and organizational priorities
  • Partner with functional stakeholders to achieve commitment to creating actionable and sustainable plans that drive improvement of the customers’ experience with Bobcat Products and Dealers.

Functional Capability (Business Value Curves)
  • Identify and prioritize the variables of each organizational functions’ value proposition.
  • Measure performance, strategically align focus and drive improvement in the areas which make the most impact on the strategic priorities of the company.
  • Create a process to record improvement initiatives and their progress as related to variables defined for each organizational function.
  • Develop and control a centralized location that warehouses all Business Value Curves of the organization.

Resource Prioritization
  • Co-develop and manage a process that identifies new projects that are appropriate and ready for review by the senior leadership staff of the organization.
  • Create a method by which the organizations’ critical resources are identified.
  • Co-manage initiatives within project prioritization process to ensure priority projects are staffed appropriately to effectively complete projects in the shortest time possible.

Business Development Strategy and Governance
  • Business Development roadmap development, communication and implementation.
  • Implement Business Development governance process and monitor progress through formal, continuous assessments.

ISO Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with ISO regulations at company sites.
  • Execute external and internal ISO audits to meet and exceed requirements.

Business Management System
  • Document all standard work, processes and tools that is accessible to all employees to ensure proper training and consistency & continuity of work performed.


Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing/market reserach, or related field.
  • Experience Required: 7>10
  • Travel Requried: 10-24%
  • MBA preferred
  • Experienced preferred in market research, business case development, and channel/customer facing functional areas.
  • Generate solutions based on available data and critical analysis.
  • Set and maintain focus on high priority items.
  • Collaborate and execute achievement of common objectives with other teams.
  • Actively seek out new ideas and approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively persuade/influence
  • Thorough understanding of key business processes and governance practices.
  • Demonstrated exceptional vendor management competency.
  • Understand and act on what’s best for the company, dealer and customer.
  • Effective process-driven mindset, while still able to execute/deliver results (not process for process sake)
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen
  • Demostrate strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Ability to implement change management initiatives

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
