Position Description:
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering ( CEE ) at North Dakota State University ( NDSU ) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Water Resources Engineering/Hydrology effective Fall 2018. Exceptional candidates with significant prior experience will also be considered for the rank of Associate Professor. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated research capability in innovative experimental and/or theoretical research that will enable development of a sponsored research program and a strong record of peer-reviewed publications, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Minimum Qualifications:
• B.S. in Civil Engineering and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or closely related fields.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary collaborative teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills.
• Exceptional research record
• Potential to obtain federal grants.
• Ability to bring a diverse perspective to the department.
• Professional engineering license.
