Emerging Technologies Services Coordinator

Position Description:
NDSU Libraries' is recruiting an energetic and engaged self-starter for the position of Emerging Technologies Services Coordinator. This individual will manage our 3D printing services, oversee the development and supervision of the makerspace, and other emerging technologies. The candidate for this position will also provide workshops and back-up reference services; liaise with appropriate campus groups and subject librarians to market and provide training for 3D printing and emerging technologies; actively engage in professional development; and complete other projects and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
• Experience using common shop/fabrication equipment
• Demonstrated interest in and expertise with new technologies
• Strong public service orientation
• Demonstrated ability to develop professionally
• Proven interpersonal skills evidenced by the ability to work cooperatively and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, faculty, students, and staff

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience at a public service desk in a public, academic, or special library
• Experience providing technical support
• Experience with 3D printing and/or Makerspaces
• Supervisory experience
