Position Description:
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering ( CEE ) at North Dakota State University ( NDSU ) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Geotechnical Engineering effective Fall 2018. Exceptional candidates with significant prior experience will also be considered for the rank of Associate Professor. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated research capability in innovative experimental and/or theoretical research that will enable development of a sponsored research program and a strong record of peer-reviewed publications, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Minimum Qualifications:
• B.S. in Civil Engineering and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or closely related fields.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary collaborative teams.

• Exceptional research record
• Potential to obtain federal grants.
• Ability to bring a diverse perspective to the department.
• Professional engineering license.
