Position Overview
The Design team is responsible for creating visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. The Photo Editor assists in building and maintaining Digi-Key product images. This position handles a variety of tasks related to placing product images on the Digi-Key website.

Responsibilities
Must be able to...

• Compile, enhance and format existing photographs and images (from manufacturers whenever possible) to make available for both high, and lower resolution media
• Work with Product Managers and the Product Information teams to ensure accuracy of images
• Develop and maintain a visual media repository of images, including digital photographs for electronic and printed media marketing efforts
• Link images appropriately on the Digi-Key website
• Understand and follow brand standards

Other typical tasks may include

• Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
• Take notes and help execute activities that results from Web Design-Graphics efforts

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum/Essential Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Zero to one year of experience in data processing, document management, & customer engagement. [Sales or Customer Service]
• Base understanding of the various functions of Digi-Key and the industry Digi-Key operates in
• Basic knowledge in Photoshop
• Base knowledge of Digi-Key brand and its principles
• Must demonstrate the following behavioral competencies: attention to detail, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, manages execution, personal effectiveness/credibility and positive attitude
• Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
• Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two Year Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Design or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
