Job Description

Prairie St. John's, a 110-bed psychiatric care facility located in Fargo, North Dakota, has been providing services for children, adolescents and adults to address mental health issues, chemical dependency or addiction and co-occurring disorders since 1997. Prairie offers a full-service psychiatric and addiction Continuum of Care.  This Continuum of Care includes inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, residential treatment, intensive outpatient services and clinic services.

Prairie St. John's currently has a full time Maintenance Technician position available.  The candidates selected will be responsible for the following:

• Received and completes work orders in a timely manner which includes all aspects of facility maintenance to include snow removal, plumbing and heating repair, machine or basic building repair, trouble-shoots, maintains, and repairs all equipment.
• Checks all utilities and alarms systems based on a preventive maintenance plan, addresses any hazards or risks and reports problems
• Vacuums, cleans, and inspects windows, doors, elevators, stair wells, lobby area, public bathrooms, sprinkler heads, fire boxes, bells, vents, heaters, air conditioning system, and lights as requested

This position will be scheduled to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Will also be required to be on-call every 4th weekend.

Job Requirements

• Previous maintenance experience required
• Previous experience with building automation systems and working in a hospital environment preferred
• Ability to make repairs and provide maintenance of plumbing, heating and building related systems
• Driving record must meet the criteria established for driving a company vehicle
