Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR/L) obtains and documents all required and pertinent patient information; orients patients, family and other parties to the purpose and procedures of the Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatment; selects and performs evaluations; completes an initial written assessment of referred patients; documents an initial plan of care and completes certification; coordinates treatment schedules; utilizes a team approach in the delivery and management of outpatient services and patient care; selects and provides treatment; identifies significant changes in patient's condition; provides appropriate patient/family education and teaching; documents the patient's response to treatment and progress; completes all documentation; updates outpatient plan of treatment and documents; meets requirements of third party payors; completes patient charges; meets productivity standards; demonstrates the ability to adjust own schedule, and monitors program effectiveness and outcomes. Patients cared for include those in the following age groups: infant, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Required:
• Occupational Therapist.
• Licensed by the North Dakota State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.
• Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) or must obtain certification by the first of the month following six (6) months of employment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of the functional assessment.
