Forum Communications is hiring a Director of Digital Product Strategy, which is a cross functional role who's purpose is to provide direction to technology teams. The position is responsible for taking the current portfolio of digital products and aligning them with the business vision to include both long and short term strategies for Forum Communications Company. Priorities will include the addition of new products, removal of old products, feature enhancements and updates to better align with the business needs and the needs of the user base. Responsible for technology ownership and consolidating these decisions into a series of road-maps to provide direction across the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with department heads to drive business needs, product requirements and develop a plan for implementation.
  • Participate in strategy, planning and technical meetings with stakeholders to identify best practices and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Implement continuous enhancements to programs and explore creative ideas to improve performance.
  • Ensure products are completed on time and according to defined process, principles and practices.
  • Maintain and communicate product launch processes and schedule.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of customer and market requirements, long term plans and objectives, keeping the team informed of changes in products, competition, features and market requirements.
  • Establish key product management processes and manage the team to execute and improve upon the processes.
  • Responsible for building and articulating the digital vision and investing in the end to end experience, optimizing product roadmaps and supporting business case development.
  • Responsible for advertising technology management and platforms.
  • Direct the overall budget and business planning process for digital development.
  • Develop metrics and ongoing tracking for improved engagement, driving content revenue and discovering insights to improve overall business.
  • Vendor management and continuity between digital products and platforms.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field, MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 10 years experience in product management, strategy, development, marketing or Information Technology.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing best practices in a product launch process/software development environment and delivering world class, large scale, performance critical software product projects on time, on budget and with quality for internal and external clients.
  • Experience with agile development methodology and product ownership.
  • Excellent people skills and strong conflict management and resolution skills; individual must be capable of inspiring and influencing to grow, learn and contribute; must be a catalyst for positive, collaborative change.
  • Knowledge of various hardware and software programs.
  • Knowledge of applications, design and code.
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and written.
  • Excellent leadership skills in direct and indirect management.
  • Ability to foster teamwork cross-functionally and excellent collaboration skills.
  • Ability to think and act strategically and proactively.
  • Highly adaptable, recognizing when strategies are working and when they are not.
  • Ability to ensure that overall business objectives are being met, self evaluation to ensure most efficient process, decisions and approaches are being leveraged.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is insurable by the company.
  • Must carry an acceptable level of vehicle insurance as required by the company.
