Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as an Information Security Analyst, in Fargo, ND might include the following:

• Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and programs to support and enhance Firm-wide management of data and data records in compliance with Firm and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in implementing efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis with attention to data retention, confidentiality, integrity, and availability, improving information lifecycle management processes and controls.
• Participating in risk management analysis and assists with the creation of business continuity, contingency, and disaster recovery (BCDR) plans with respect to the information lifecycle.
• Developing and executing the testing processes utilized to validate the business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Collaborates with other members of the Information Technology Services (ITS) team
• Creating content for the Firm's Security Awareness and Training efforts that inform and influence Firm employees to adopt improved security habits.
• Supports the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) and Information Security Manager (ISM), and educates others to mitigate information security risks to the Firm.

 

Who You Are

• You have excellent client services and communication skill -- both your verbal and written communication is outstanding. You have the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information to end users.
• You have working knowledge of information security concepts and methodologies, as well a practical understanding of BCDR and IT Risk Management strategies
• You are able to manage details with keen organization skills while being able to see the big picture and think strategically.
• 2-4 years of experience in Information Lifecycle Management, information security, privacy, system or network administration.
• In addition to all of this, you have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• CISSP, CISA, CRISC, and/or IGP certifications preferred.

Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
