Laboratory Sales Specialist - Lab Outreach Services

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the full spectrum of sales and marketing projects. Primary responsibility is sales resulting in territory growth. In addition, responsible for visiting specific clients as assigned service representative. Must develop relationships with clients in order to maintain the client base. Actively involved with client communications and field service. Proficient in personal computer word processing programs; excellent verbal and written communication skills; organized and detail oriented, demonstrates ability to acquire and apply knowledge. Demonstrates patience, kindness, and cooperation with clients and co-workers. Maybe asked to work at or travel, with potential overnights, to any Sanford Laboratories site depending on the needs of the facility.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Adheres to organizational standards and procedures for the current marketing plan. Describes major services and deliverables offered within own area. Develops a network of clients and technical professionals. Monitors innovations in field and explores usefulness in own function. Proactively investigates client issues and problems. Provides relevant, timely and objective subject matter/process expertise and key insight regarding multiple client business areas and affiliated fields.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

This is a full time position of 40 hours per week working Monday through Friday with varied hours between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. No weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Driver's license required. Must maintain good driving record. Bachelors degree in laboratory, biological sciences, or business from an approved accredited school of laboratory science preferred. If incumbent does not have Bachelors degree, will accept five years equivalent experience in laboratory environment or track record of successful sales. Prior sales and/or lab experience preferred.
