Tower/Sealer/Palletizer

The Tower/Sealer/Palletizer works in the palletizer sealer area in rotation, moving from work station to work station.

Hours: 8 PM - 8 AM; work 2, off 2; every other weekend off

Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows all DairiConcepts GMP's and works in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements
- Operates a forklift and moves cheese from production area to the warehouse cooler
- Runs Beta Vac/bag sealer with no leakers
- Weighs blocks, places label tickets on blocks, and boxes
- Operates and validates metal detector
- Operates boxer and palletizer (Robot)
- Tower operation
- Maintain operating records (Block Counts)
- Performs necessary routine cleaning and performs preventive maintenance
- Master sanitation as needed

Required Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage
- Perform work independently as required
- Perform necessary routine cleaning and preventive maintenance
- Knowledge with machines, tools, equipment and Lock out Tag out

Required Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills

Licensing and Certification
- Forklift permit

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, hear, use hands to lift, grasp, manipulate and handle boxes, controls and supplies, walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The employee must regularly lift 50 lb. bags or blocks and occasionally more
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to hot, wet and/or humid conditions
- The employee is required to climb ladders and stairs
- The noise level in the work environment is loud. Exposed to noise, heat and wet environment
