JOB SUMMARY

Coordinate medical staff activities, as well as physician, dental and allied health professional credentialing. Interpret medical staff bylaws and communicates policy/procedure changes, as needed. Provide administrative and clerical support to medical staff. Must be self-directed with a high level of accountability and works with minimal supervision. One of the functions of this role is the continual planning in advance of Medical Staff Committees and functions which involves significant coordination among physician leadership, membership, and clinical coordinators. This includes the flow of information within Medical Staff governance structure to achieve appropriate communication and approval of initiatives, management of meeting schedule for multiple physician and organizational leaders. Provides documentation of medical staff meeting context, applying principles of medical/legal and peer review protection.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree in a secretarial or related field or equivalent 3 yrs. Administrative Assistant work experience. Medical terminology and experience recording minutes desirable.
