Job Information

Manage the new dealer training program for all Bobcat dealers. Manage the training tool and new dealer start up process that incorporates all the applicable functional areas and personnel (field, corporate office, and dealer). Manage the new dealer and dealer expansion approval process.

Role & Responsibility

Training Plan Management
  • Coordinate, implement and manage dealer training based on the Company’s training strategy.
  • Start the new dealer with online and video training once announced. Arrange face to face training with all new Bobcat dealers. This will include product training, front office and back office systems, as well as review of operations best practices and, where applicable, staffing best practices.
  • Implement regular pre and post training surveys to ensure training meets dealer’s needs, including initial contact, 90 days and 6 month follow-ups.
  • During the training process, gain the commitment and sign up from the dealer on employee training sessions such as sales training (Bootcamp, The ROC, and customer appreciation events).
  • Assist the dealer with placing their initial new equipment, attachments, and parts orders, as well as help to enforce company policies and recruitment commitments.
  • Create consistency across all training venues to ensure proper training is provided and value is achieved by collaborating with other Company functional leaders.
  • Updating the course curriculum for Bobcat University and creating various video training tools.
  • Manage the start of the Bobcat new dealer and expansion approval process.


Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing
  • Experience Required: 7>10 years
  • Travel Required: >50%
    • Must be accessible to major airports.
  • Ability to execute strategic plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a highly organized and disciplined manner.
  • Computer knowledge, ability to utilize online video training tools and communication skills.
  • Self-motivator and planner.
  • Experience with cold calling.
  • Prior training experience.
  • Familiarity with dealer operations and Bobcat systems.

Position will require extensive travel, approximately 50% to meet with dealers. The travel may be several consecutive weeks and in an inconsistent pattern.

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
