Job you will do
Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as a Risk Advisory/Internal Audit Manager might include the following:
  • Initiate kickoff meeting with a client and determine timelines, goals and expectations of an engagement.
  • Lead the engagement meeting with Eide Bailly team members and share your knowledge from the client call. This is where you will set timelines, assign roles and determine goals for the audit.
  • Manage multiple projects and hands-on performance of risk assessments, document processes, test performance and report on project results.
  • Work with the business owners across various functions to recommend enhancements and prioritize new processes designed to reduce risk, increase productivity and establish best practice benchmarks.
  • Serve as a consultative advisor to internal stakeholders to ensure timely and consistent implementation of risk, business process and internal control enhancements.
  • Oversee and manage completion of business control testing .
  • Perform procedures to verify that controls are operating through testing and analysis, conclude on control effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Balance new business development and practice development activities, including active participation in professional organizations and related industry-specific associations.
  • Set some time aside in your busy day to research business trends related to clients and apply this knowledge to clients' solutions while professionally representing the Firm.
  • Coach staff and train and collaborate on how to best handle aspects of the engagement.

 

Who You Are
  • You are inquisitive and enjoy learning about various client business processes and traveling to different locations to help clients (30-60 percent travel may be required).
  • You are motivated to learn and are looking to get promoted throughout your career.
  • You are a multi-tasking master, and there has never been a deadline you could not meet.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to effectively interact with all levels of Firm management and staff, clients and other external business contacts.
  • You have knowledge of and exposure to a variety of industries (health care and/or government industry experience preferred).
  • You have experience with COSO and Sarbanes-Oxley and its application to financial reporting and business process/operational controls.
  • You have experience identifying business risks, evaluating business processes, assessing internal controls, documenting work performed and drafting reports with summary results for executives.
  • You have demonstrated ability to collect and analyze complex data, evaluate information and systems, and draw logical conclusions.
  • In addition to all of this, you have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, have an active CPA, or CIA license and have 5+ years of experience in a combination of public accounting and Risk Advisory/internal audit work.

 

Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
