JOB SUMMARY

Sanford Health Internship Program aims to provide our interns with challenging, real-world projects specific to their career path. A Construction and Planning Intern will contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first-hand experience that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The construction and planning intern will be assigned to the drafting part of the department; responsible for the conversion of drawing files from the current 2-D software and 3-D software. The intern will work both in teams and independently on tasks & projects, collaborating and supporting our project team members as needed. Main duty of intern will be to take our 2-D digital drawing files and convert/re-draw them to 3-D digital drawing files using a different software. Must be proficient in AutoDesk Suite of programs; including AutoCad and Revit. Must be proficient in AutoDesk Suite of programs; including AutoCad and Revit. Must be able to read plans, specs and other forms of construction & design documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a junior or senior pursuing an associate’s degree in Architectural Drafting or bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design or an immediate graduate having received one of the previously listed majors. Must have good human relations and communications skills; must be able to follow procedures and instructions given by the leadership staff. Must have strong problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
