Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Details: $110,000+/Annual, Full-Time, Benefited, Exempt
Benefits

We are currently recruiting for two positions.

This position is located at the Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC), an International leader in energy and environmental research, conducting projects for clients throughout the United States and the world. We are looking for experienced, aggressive, scientifically trained, and market-oriented individuals to contribute to the success of the organization by performing one or more of the following functions:

  • Leading reservoir engineering and/or geological evaluations on CO2 EOR projects, CO2 storage projects, unconventional hydrocarbon recovery projects.
  • Other duties would include leading a group of scientists and engineers geomodeling and/or simulation efforts.
  • Working with others to prepare and lead proposals for research related to areas of expertise; and develop and manage project scopes of work, objectives, personnel, and budgets in an exceptional manner.
  • Successful candidates would also be expected to prepare and manage the preparation of technical reports, conference papers, and peer-reviewed journal articles and deliver technical presentations. 
  • Some travel is required.

Minimum Requirments:

  • Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, geology, geological engineering, reservoir engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of oil and gas industry and research experience.
  • Direct experience working with oil and gas operators.
  • Experience leading projects and proposals for technical work.
  • Applicants may be required to present to the interviewers during the interview process.

  • Successful completion of criminal history background check.


In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master or Ph.D. in petroleum engineering, geology, geological engineering, reservoir engineering or related field.
  • Experience preparing resource evaluations for CO2 EOR and storage, shale oil, and offshore oil and gas resources.
  • Experience serving as a Principle Investigator on U.S. Department of Energy-funded projects.
  • Experience leading a team of reservoir/petroleum engineers on CO2 EOR and storage, and unconventional oil and gas, and/or geothermal projects.
  • Author or coauthor of published, peer-reviewed papers in the area of CO2 EOR, CO2 storage, unconventional hydrocarbon recovery and/or geothermal energy.
  • Experience with one or more of the following other oil and gas industry modeling and simulation software: Schlumberger’s Eclipse, Petrel, PetroMod, PetroFlow; Comsol; CMG GEM, Winprop, CMOST; Tough 2, Tough React; etc.
