Assembly

Assembly line work typically involves working with a group of other employees performing manufacturing assembly.   The assembly process requires the usage of hand tools, torque wrenches and following Operator Method Sheets. The John Deere Seeding Group Valley City factory manufactures air seeding equipment.

• Perform assembly tasks safety using appropriate assembly tools such as hand held pneumatic tools.
• Loads, unloads and moves material.
• Follow work instructions per scheduled product build.
• Follow 5S procedures, maintaining clean & organized work area.
• Work as a contributing team member supporting the safety, quality, productivity, and delivery of goals.
• Physical requirements require regular lifting (60-75 pounds occasionally), pushing, pulling, kneeling, bending and standing.

Currently hiring for the following shifts –

• 2nd Shift - operations includes working four to five shifts per week from 4:15PM - 2:45AM.

NOTE:  As part of the hiring process, all candidates who are qualified for employment with John Deere Seeding Group Valley City must complete a background check, drug screen and fitness for duty screen.
