JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for standardizing processes and final output for business initiatives. Strives to increase efficiencies and quality in the department by evaluating current business practices to improve productivity, reduce costs and make best use of the department’s resources. In partnership with the project management team, develops best practices for business plans, schedules measurements and budgets. Manages projects to achieve objectives. Help identify and drive strategic improvement initiatives and innovation within the department. Such initiatives could include process improvements, change management and department-wide communication strategy (top-down and bottom-up). Develop and promote adoption within the organization of project management best practices. Implement smooth, speedy and efficient workflow in all areas of the department. Define and initiate mechanisms to track workflow and measure performance. Work with project managers to standardize processes, project management tools and output for initiatives. Assist leadership with managing, selecting and negotiating contracts, services and pricing for department vendors. Assist in problem solving on related topics between user departments, service departments and vendors. Leads the continuous improvement initiatives of the department. Become the subject matter expert on departmental processes in order to represent the business across the organization and drive necessary process improvements.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

Analyzes business processes, identifies alternative solutions to outdated processes and assesses their feasibility. Identifies the process improvement and/or project targets that produce high impact. Prioritizes constantly while maintaining well-defined goals. Delivers written and oral communication, responds to questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact. Generates new ideas, approaches and solutions in response to changing demands or environment. Tracks the implementation of plans closely to ensure that desired outcomes are achieved. Demonstrates mastery of re-engineering concepts, methods, and tools. Gives continuing feedback, recognizes achievement, and recommends improvement. Ensures that team members are on board, unified, and moving in the same direction. Establishes and maintains productive working relationships within and outside of own area.

QUALIFICATIONS

PMP Certification Preferred Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, marketing, engineering or related field. Must have at least five years of applicable working experience.
