JOB SUMMARY
Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. Operates equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines; ensures the quality of images is satisfactory for clinical purposes. Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures; conducts image operations according to provider requests and other technical factors. Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process. Delivers excellent patient care and education before, during and after diagnostic imaging procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinic & CAH hospital coverage for radiology & EKG
Shifts are in 24 hour blocks: 8 hour day hours + 16 hours on-Call coverage.
On-Call coverage for evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays is also required

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). If working in ND and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, must be licensed through the ND MIRT Board of Examiners. Must have completed an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must have a good understanding of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/imageprocessing, quality control and radiation protection. Computer skills desirable. Experience with computed/digital radiography and PACS preferred.
