JOB SUMMARY

Serves as a link between the Sanford Health Plan (SHP), Great Plains Brokerage, employer groups, and insurance agents who are prospective clients of SHP or have signed a Health Maintenance Contract with the Sanford Health Plan. Responsible for assisting in new business development, prospecting new opportunities and assisting in sales and enrollment presentations. Must represent SHP at conferences, benefit fairs, prospective client meetings and assist in the preparation, coordination and review of new proposals. Requires regular and timely relay of information gained from the field to the above referenced entities to ensure that operations are compatible with the needs of SHP clients. Must have excellent presentation and communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and analytical skills necessary to develop policies, plans and goals. Must be able to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations. Must have an in-depth knowledge of health care, data analytics processing, and group health insurance. May require overnight and/or weekend travel (15%).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Generates and interprets a wide range of statistical data and reports. Under guidance, initiates collaborative meetings. Prepares all oral and written materials, including contracts, proposals and presentations. Develops presentation objectives and organizes key topics, speaking points, materials, and flow. Develops the content and layout of organization-specific materials. Focuses activities on developing and maintaining positive customer relationships. Analyzes complex reports as revealed by the data. Organizes and coordinates internal communication functions and meetings. Helps link organizational objectives to customer needs and expectations. Meets regularly with customers to understand their wants, needs and expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma required; Associate Degree preferred. Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
