Job Details
This position is a flex-time position, working as needed, covering vacations, illnesses, emergencies. Flex-time positions do not receive benefits; in lieu of benefits, they receive an additional 15% on top of the base rate.
The Maintenance Control Center Technician II recognizes problems and alarms on all computerized monitoring systems and responds appropriately; serves as a customer service point of contact for security and maintenance requests; starts and stops the chiller system; ensures internal procedures are kept up-to-date and communicated; communicates effectively to ensure continuity between Maintenance personnel and Control Center; back-washes filters, assists with chemical system, and monitors the chilled water and cooling tower system; ensures that all incoming work order requests are entered into the computer system and prioritized; works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) in making adjustments to our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems; ensures scheduling as needed for paid time off (PTO) and sick requests; receives customers, answers phones in a professional manner, schedules meetings and logs contractors/vendors for safety/security of facility; operate the fax machine, scanner, copier, printer; performs assigned housekeeping tasks; monitors weather problems or threats locally and nationally; ensures all preventive maintenance work orders are generated and printed; ensures that new equipment for Maintenance and Biomed are inputted into the computer and a preventive maintenance schedule is established; generates reports and queries from the equipment control program; maintains an effective and efficient filing system; enters data and scans documents, and demonstrates proficient computer skills.
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of computers and Windows based software programs.
• Use of current office technologies including: fax, scanner, copier, printers.
• Successful completion of the functional assessment.
Preferred:
• Minimum of one (1) year advanced formal education in computers and Windows based software.
• Work experience with building automation systems or equivalent type systems.
• Two-way radio communication experience.
• One (1) year of college or technical education in office management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
