Insurance Coordinator (re-posted)

Position Description:
This position's primary responsibility is managing all insurance billing services in a time-efficient manner. Direct and coordinate the overall functions of the insurance billing process to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving patient, provider and customer relations. Ensure that activities of insurance billing are conducted in a manner consistent with overall department protocol and are in compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations, guidelines, and requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related degree; or the equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in medical insurance billing and reimbursement with strong understanding of insurance and billing regulations
• ICD -10, CPT , HCPCS knowledge
• Medical terminology
• Computer skills
• Effective interpersonal, oral and written interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience with computerized practice management system or insurance clearinghouse
