Position Description:
Responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing campus data resources in order to facilitate a steady stream of timely decision-making products for use by campus administrative units and leaders:

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Identify and utilize data sources. Collect and utilize data from various internal and external resources: PeopleSoft (academic and human resources), IPEDS , and National Student Clearinghouse.
• Identify and utilize data from other resources as needed.
• Manage large datasets.
• Plan and conduct studies using appropriate methodologies, and aligned with campus data requests.
• Organize, analyze and interpret studies, surveys, and statistics.
• Apply and interpret summary and inferential statistics (such as regression, ANOVA , and t-tests).
• Prepare conclusions and reports
• Prepare visual data summaries, including meaningful graphs and charts.
• Assist with the writing of text data summaries and interpretation of analyses.

Minimum Qualifications:
• B.S. in research-oriented field (e.g., social or other science, applied statistics, etc.)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency with syntax-based statistical software ( SAS , SPSS , STATA , R, or other)
• Experience working with medium to large data sets
• Experience with descriptive and inferential statistical analysis
• Written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with dashboarding software (Tableau, Power BI, or other)
• Experience with information system software (PeopleSoft, Banner, or other)
• Experience using data, statistics, or business intelligence analyses to inform decision making
• Work experience in higher education
