Job Title: Applications Engineer Department: Sales and Marketing

Primary Responsibilities:


• Prepare cost estimates, drive sheets, and other internal documentation for review

• Generate concepts and evaluate ideas for review with Senior Applications Engineer
• Create sound machine concepts including layout, timing, and drives

• Ensure professional communication (written and verbal) is in place at all times
• Generate quote documentation for budget/firm quotes

• Support sales team with drawings and other information as needed
• Occasional travel with other sales resources (usually not 1:1 with customer)

• Review customer provided documents and gather additional information as needed
• Support the development of policies, procedures, and process improvements
• Travel to trade shows and customer sites as required


General Responsibilities:


• Adhere to, support and promote the Aagard vision and culture statements
• Demonstrate professional, respectful interaction with other team members
• Accurately and professionally represent Aagard to customers and vendors

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:


• Four year degree in Engineering related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Experience with machinery and automation preferred

• Previous experience with CAD systems is preferred
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers verbally and in writing, including presentations skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office products
• Project management exposure preferred

• Ability to create excel spreadsheets/pivot tables for data analysis
• Self-starter, creative and problem solver
• Ability to work under minimal supervision

• Ability to apply statistical tools to get to the root cause
• Passion for excellence

• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
