Rotating Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.


Position Overview
Be part of a fast-paced world class distribution center. Stock Associates are responsible for accurately and efficiently placing received inventory in the proper pick and/or storage location. As a Stock Associate you will p rocess customer orders from around the world and ensure inventory accuracy with responsibility for addressing inaccuracies when identified.

Responsibilities
Must be able to...

• Responsible for accurately and efficiently placing move up and put away product in the proper location.
• Identify and resolve any issues of mixed product in a storage location
• Conduct inventory counts and update computer system to show correct quantity on hand
• Inspect product for defects (i.e. oxidation, corrosion, damage, etc.) which would impact product quality
• Perform a variety of tasks in multiple areas of the Product Distribution Center (PDC) dependent on daily workload needs in order fulfillment functions including:
  • Picking parts quickly and accurately
  • Packaging product appropriately ensuring all quality measures and customer requests have been met
• Analyze appropriate stocking levels and set stock and restock levels in Digi-Key's inventory system accordingly
• Assist in removal of obsolete and discontinued product by updating appropriate inventory systems and physically pulling product for appropriate disposition

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum/Essential Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
• Basic computer navigation and typing skills
• Comfortable using hand held technology to scan items and look up information
• Ability to actively participate as a team member in order to meet departmental goals
• Ability to provide a positive, professional and enthusiastic outlook or perspective
  
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task as well as the ability to change focus quickly based on requests by employees/management
  
• Able to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motion
• Capable of spending 10-12 hours walking/standing on concrete
• Regularly lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height
• Ability to twist or bend and occasionally climb stairs
• Ability to reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
  
• Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success.
  
• Regular and consistent attendance due to need to access physical equipment
