Job Summary

The Talent Development Consultant leads and supports projects related to talent development and performs duties related to content design and development and the use and development of the tools that support these efforts. This position conducts needs assessments, assists in the design of curriculums, and analyzes the features of a given environment. This position supports learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies by providing a framework for engaging, compelling content.

  • Understands the training business and anticipates and develops priorities for future action
  • Provides guidance and support to team trainers
  • Possesses high technical prowess relating to content development, video editing skills, and Learning Management Systems (LMS)


Essential Functions

Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities
  • Works with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and identifies the initial and ongoing training needs of target audiences.
  • Creates and maintains the learning templates and guides for the SMEs to develop compelling course content.
  • Recommends a variety of training and delivery styles to meet the needs of the trainers.
  • Applies tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods such as ADDIE.
  • Develops material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.) utilizing content development tools.
  • Collaborates with team trainers to measure performance metrics by developing assessment strategies.
  • Implements and launches LMS365 across functional teams.
  • Assists the team trainer in reviewing various business analytics and reports such as rosters, trainer evaluations, assessment scores, etc. to enhance the training experience.
  • Adopts new technologies to enhance learning retention and success in a fast-paced, fluctuating environment.
  • May facilitate training on presentation or soft skills training as needed.
  • Maintains Talent Development project documentation such as program registration templates, process documents, etc.

Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Communication, or Education OR equivalent work experience
  • 1 years' experience as a trainer, content developer, or supporting the training function
  • General understanding of content development tools (such as Captivate, Camtasia, and LMS)
  • Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Solid knowledge of course development software and a Learning Management System
  • Visual design and technical writing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

Above requirements and the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Communication, or Education
  • 2 years' training experience as a trainer and content developer

  • Office Environment
  • Ability to read, hear, speak, keyboard, reason, communicate effectively and problem solve
  • Requires prolonged sitting and telephone usage
  • Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, telephones, copiers and printers
  • Infrequent lifting up to 15 pounds
