Payroll Support

Fisher Industries is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Payroll team in the Dickinson, ND office. The Payroll Support person will report to the Payroll Director and perform administrative functions for the Payroll Department. This position requires confidentiality and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Payroll support and processing for General Steel and Supply Company and Steel Girder, including garnishments, benefits, direct deposit, payroll taxes and positive pay.
• Complete certified payroll and union reports.
• Complete quarterly reports and other miscellaneous payroll reports.
• Weekly and monthly journal entries.
• Update and manage spreadsheets.
• Balancing accounts.
• File confidential payroll reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

BACKGROUND

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or a combination of education and experience in payroll.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Experience with ECMS preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Attendance on Demand preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-starter with problem solving capabilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams.
