Social Services Director

This position manages the operations of the Social Services department according to appropriate state statutes, rules & county policies. Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field & have a minimum of 3 years of professional or technical experience in a public or private social services agency involving supervision of income maintenance or social services programs or fiscal operations.

Applicants must have thorough knowledge of the following: principles & practices of public social services programs & administration; functions & organization of state, federal & local social service agencies; revenues & reimbursements available from federal, state & local sources; fiscal management & community resources; rural social conditions; establishing & maintaining good working relationships with staff, providers, citizens & community officials; communicating both verbally & in writing; making sound decisions & formulate new methods & techniques to meet changing needs. Must have a valid driver's license.

Wage range for this position is $42.21 - $53.66/hour; DOE & qualifications.
