Overview

Titan Machinery operates one of the largest networks of full service agricultural and construction equipment stores in North America. We operate over 100 stores across North America and Europe. This position will lead the pricing and analysis of all Titan Used equipment in North America. This includes pricing analysis for inventory that has reached the aging point of transferring from the Individual store to the Outlet Store. The primary role is to maintain pricing integrity for all used equipment. This position will also be a resource for overseeing Used Equipment inventory forecasting, data management, marketing and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for all Titan owned Used Equipment business in North America.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the used equipment business including:
  • Assist in developing and implementing a market analysis for Used Equipment business
  • Work with management to develop monthly, quarterly and annual used sales plan and budgets
  • Ensure that proper safety processes and procedures are being followed to maximize employee safety and minimize the company liability
  • Optimize margins, revenue, growth
  • Improve inventory turns to pre-determined company targets
  • Utilize Titan footprint to create demand and leverage results
  • Ensure that effective lines of communication are established and information flows smoothly and efficiently throughout the entire AG and CE operations equipment business in relation to Used Equipment.
  • Work with management to ensure that company policies and processes are being followed.
  • Collaborate with company's primary manufacturers on used equipment.
  • Be a resource to Region Managers, Store Managers, Major Account Managers, Field Marketers on:
  • Used Equipment Values
  • Used Financing and Leasing
  • Competitive Pricing
  • Trends, Market Analysis, and Demographics
  • Responsible for communication to Stores and executive leadership team on:
  • Unit reservation integrity
  • Pricing, Equipment cost
  • Reconditioning (or lack of) issues and/or conditioned discrepancies
  • Efficient, timely, inventory reporting and visibility
  • Assist management in tracking historical inventory levels and sales by model by period. Work with AG and Construction Operations groups to forecast future inventory levels.
  • Utilize Titan's database of current and past used equipment sales system to allow for easy equipment appraisal comparison for field marketers and store managers.
  • Manage Operations Used Inventory reporting to include daily reporting (daily sales report, backlog, etc.), monthly reporting (order forecasting and accuracy, aging, etc.) and annual reporting (budgeting, board reporting, etc.).
  • Recommend inventory controls and reporting to use JDE to its fullest capability.
  • Proactive resource for all stakeholders and a resource for Stores on used wholegoods issues.
  • Identify best practices and underperforming stores
  • Other duties and projects as assigned


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the Ag and Construction Equipment business or a related industry
  • Preferred background or experience with Statistics and/or Supply Chain modeling
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-pace, changing environment
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated client service skills and the ability to develop strong business relationships
  • Demonstrated strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Demonstrated sales skills including the ability to sell opportunities, ideas, and concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Keen attention to detail and a high level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Strong computer skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, stressful work environment
  • Ability to handle and resolve frequent interpersonal conflict
  • Ability to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees
